Mic check! ...is this thing on??

Well lookie here! My old blog. I'm writing this entry mainly as a test to see if it will still even post! Please excuse the dust that may rise in the process.

It's interesting timing that I've stumbled upon these writings during this particular space in time, because lately I've found myself processing many of the events that took place in my life during the years I wrote here. 

Though seldom, these entries were surrounded by incredible events. Monumental, actually, in forming the future, which I'm living now.  Of course, that's how life is, no matter how aware or unaware of it we are.  However, with so many years passed, it's not always easy to recollect the "why" of what we did back then, or the details surrounding certain decisions.  While I may have not been extremely specific about what was going on in my life then, but rather my perceptions in the middle of it, reading this all of these years later brings me back there like it was last week. 

I remember now. I'm not sure I really want to. But it's obviously time to. 

You see, if there's one thing I'm absolutely certain of now it's that I haven't simply "stumbled upon" this blog...He has lead me here. For such a time as this. So, I will pay close attention, at the very least! Perhaps healing is the goal. With Him, it frequently is. 

My takeaways are this: 

It's time I wrote again. Writing isn't simply for the moments we're in, but to capture them for the future. My future self will definitely agree.

Also, I feel capital letters, editing and grammar aren't the point when pouring out heart-felt creativity, and I'm not judging my 2004-2005 self for not alway utilizing them, ha! However, do I see the use of them as a mark of my maturity now, (at least on this level! lol) and I aim to use them more frequently as I write in this season. 

Lastly, because I feel this blog is a bit of a time capsule, I may not post here anymore.  It may be time for a new blog anyway! New season. I have a feeling it won't be so neglected either, but who knows! As I was then, I'm still quite busy and actively living life to it's fullest! But I have learned to hold space in the quiet, amidst it all now. So, here's to the try!
